Alamo students have a new reading incentive - a book vending machine!
Thanks to a grant from the Feldpausch Foundation, students and staff cut the ribbon on a book vending machine at the school. Students are excited for the opportunity to use it! Each month, every staff member will have a gold token to award a student spotted doing good things and practicing the Capturing Kids' Hearts word of the month.
For February, the word is Kindness so staff members have been on the lookout for kind acts! Students already love reading, but this adds a new incentive to get them excited to pick out one of their favorite books!
